Devil beside you… to tell you I had no interest in watching this at all. The only reason why I started was because of Adult Child and someone on YouTube. They made a MV using the song with clips from Devil Beside You. I watched it and I decided I might as well give it a shot.

It revolves around a girl named Qi Yue she decides to confess her feelings to Sang Yuan Yi, but as she goes to confess she doesn’t look and confesses to someone else a boy named Jiang Meng. Jiang Meng is the schools devil the trouble maker she quickly realizes that its the wrong person and makes sure he understands that she wasn’t confessing to him. Unknown to her at the time Qi Yue is his target, he wants her. By a twist of fate Qi Yu finds out that her mother has fallen for a man and they are going to get married, that man is none other then Jiang Mengs father. As time progresses Qi Yue sees softer sides Jiang Mengs. Regardless of this devilish reputation she sees he is actually very kind and caring in his own way.

I’m not exactly sure how I liked it. It was good, maybe a little to gooshy mooshy lovey dovey kind of stuff. If your into forceful romances then maybe this is for you. The production quality is terrible for 2005 but I noticed a lot of Chinese shows were not very good quality Rainie Yang is just annoying I think she plays every character the same not a very talented actress as far as the shows I’ve watched. Altogether it was pretty boring and to be honest I probably wont watch it again. I get how it could be popular, but maybe not my cup of tea. I give it a 4/10….ya its just below average which I think is still pretty good.

Meteor GardenI & II

This isn’t my favorite version of this series, but I do like it. I do have a few frustrations to vent.

“Shan Cai,whose parents are far from wealthy, attends Ying De University, the private school established exclusively for rich students. Besides being looked down by rich classmates, she has angered the leader of F4, Dao Ming Si. F4 comprises of Dao Ming Si, Hua Ze Lei, Xi Men, and Mei Zuo, who are the heirs to the four richest families. Their families are the founders of the school and nobody dares to cross them. Shan Cai isn’t afraid to stand up to DMS, an act that nobody has done before, and this sparks Dao Ming Si’s interest in her. However, his constant torture of her has made her miserable while she falls in love with the gentle Hua Ze Lei, who comes to her rescue. Can Dao Ming Si win her love despite his cold and cruel exterior? What happens when his mother decides to use every trick there is to keep them apart? Can they adjust to each other’s differences due to their vastly incompatible social status?” –Drama wiki

Not a bad looking group of guys and girls. :)

Meteor Gardens I:

I have already wrote the beginning part of the story in my Hana Yori Dango Blog click here.

The story starts off In Taipei Taiwan. Shan Cai- who personally I think looks like Tila Tequila, and is probably the most attractive main character out of all the series. Meets Dao Ming Si the leader of the F4. It basically goes down the same way as the rest of them. He bullies her friend she stands up for her friend he bullies her, she fights back.

It’s a very complicated love story. While Dao Ming Si gives her the red note (before he really starts to like her) which basically means “Your dead” (the school turns on you and you basically get picked on and beat up all the time). Hau Ze Lei helps her. pre=””>Shancai is falling for him, she believes he is different. His love is not for Shancai there is another girl and eventually Shancai wishes for him to follow his heart and urges him to follow that girl to France.

Now with Hua Ze Lei out of the picture Dao Ming Si seizes the opprutonaty to take Shancai out on a date. Shancai agrees but still very much dislikes Dao Ming Si. He starts to fall in love with her. He waits all day for her outside in the rain. Shancai eventually shows up and they get locked in a tower. I really like and I really hate it this version its a bit more mature then the rest. Firstly like the anime theres this one part when Deo Ming Sze really starts to form an attachment to Shancai. He sees Hua Ze Lei and Shancai talking outside and he becomes enraged when his friend leaves he corners Shancai and chases her and “harasses her” (the almost rape scene) She tells him to stop and is crying, he realises what hes done and says he wont hurt her anymore.

Miss No Good….

Well I’m not gonna lie this was pretty bad.  I was in Hawaii when I watched it. It was hard to find things to watch and this was one of the easiest to load on the internet we were using so I watched it. I wont say it was dreadful and there were only 14 episodes ( although they were an hour and a half long each) so I didn’t have to sit through to many episodes. I think I’ll say what I hate about it first because what I hate doesn’t really take away from the story too much the story wasn’t that bad.

I just really hated the way the main character Jiang Xiao Hua acted it was so annoying. I know I get it that was her character but wow I hate everything about that character the way she dresses the way she acted everything. Having said that the story was pretty good.  She meets her fat child hood friend who has actually become rich and very handsome played by Dean Fujioka (Jia Si Le) who might I add is one amazing person (in real life) he can speak Japanese, English, and Chinese. (something I’ve always wanted to accomplish with Italian, German and Korean added, I set my goals to high ey?) He studied at  Seattle University right down south from me not even 3 hrs away. Well just read about him on wiki ok. He has a very nice face and a wonderful smile it looks very kind. Ok Ok I know this is not a blog about Dean this is a blog about Miss No Good. Back to the main topic anyways…… he likes her and has always liked her. He wants to take her out. She wants to match him so she goes to this Tang Men guy, who she earlier met. She gets him  to change her look, he’s some famous fashion guru person guy thing. Sorta like our What not to Wear people. Soon Miss Christmas Tree (Jiang Xiao Hua)-a nickname given to her  by Tang Men because she dresses with so many tacky assesories and colours- starts to have feelings for Tang Men but still pursues Jia Si Le and the obvious love triangle appears. I also think the girl who plays  Jiang Xiao Hua is pretty and cute but I really hate her as the character.

Just because I didn’t think it was the best I’m still gonna give it rating.

Awwness well not so much 3/10 (I change it from 5-10 depending on how the ratio goes)

and I’ll give it a 2/5 for the story line….

I wouldn’t watch this twice unless I watched every other anime /drama/ tv show in the world so this wont happen anytime soon. Sorry this turned into a Dean fan blog entry I just think he’s cool. Ya Cool….teehee…Hope you enjoyed

It started with A kiss 1 and 2 (They Kiss again)

So one night about a month or two ago. I got really really bored and st

Jiro Wang

arted watching this series.

Wow…I really really really hate this series. I only started watching this because I saw Jiro Wang and it was on the most popular mySoju list. It was wrong of me to only think of watching this for Jiro. Bad girl bad girl….

It started with a kiss season 1:

It starts off with a girl (like usual) Yuan Xiang Qin, the dumbest most annoying F class girl, who has just confessed her feelings to Jiang Zhi Shu, the smartest, A class,  best looking, most popular boy in the school. She gets publicly rejected. Later her house burns down and she ends up actually living at Jian Zhi Shu house. Sounds like it could be pretty entertaining well ya it’s not! He hates her, he makes it very clear that he hates her, but she still pursues him. Then finally when she’s going to give him up he goes and….*kiss’s* her. This story is so dragged out it goes from them in high school to them going to college and theres so many characters.

Things I liked:

Not a lot………. umm let me see when Zhi Shu finally confesses  that he likes her that was kinda sweet. I guess the guy that plays Jian Zhi Shu is ok looking. They did have some funny scenes so Ya.

Things I hated:

Well I hated the main character, Yuan Xiang Qin, how annoying is she. Zhi Shu doesn’t like you stop bothering him you didn’t like it when Jin Yuan Feng (Jiro Wang’s character) was following after you saying he was in love with you. How can she be in love with a guy who treats her the way he does. Oh it just makes me so angry I want to punch her.
I give this……..NO,   I don’t even want to give it a rating but I’ll give it a 1/5 thats as good as I can do sorry.

Romantic Princess

It’s been awhile since I watched this and I was reluctant to do a review just because I didn’t really like this one that much. Thank goodness it was only 13 episodes. I find it almost misleading, in the beginning, the story starts off pretty entertaining. to be honest I don’t remember the names of the characters in this because I just wanted to block it out of my mind, but I’ll look it up so it doesn’t get confusing. It starts off with this girl, Mai Qiu Sui or Xiao Mai, who has a dream to become a princess. Eventually this dream comes true as a child she was adopted through some strange circumstances and is actually the heiress to a huge corporation (just like all the other ones I’ve watched, I see a pattern). Her grandfather has arranged for her to marry a guy who hes chosen to take over the company but he doesn’t want to he wants to live a normal life, they actually dont get a long very well in the beginning but soon enough they start to fall in love and they must keep it a secret for his sake of living a normal life. And thats about it. It really wasn’t that great. I liked the beginning but the rest was pretty bad. I thought I would like it because Wu Chun is in it since I liked him in Hana Kimi so much but it was kinda boring…and ya thats about it. If your super bored maybe give it a watch but really there are much better dramas out there.

2.5/5 on the awwness scale and 3/10 on a story line…. pretty bad…..

Fated to Love you

Untitled-2 copy

This is probably one of the best dramas I’ve watched to date. Just finished it this morning.

Heres a Link to the site I watched it with [English Subs] : Fated to Love you Episode 1

  • 24 Episodes
  • Made in 2008 in Taiwan

The story is like an alternate Cinderella story. It starts off with Chen Xin Yi “sticky note” girl. Every since she was little everyone has used her. Her mother wanted to abort her as a baby but kept her. Chen Xin Yi was over looked by everyone except her father who dies. Later, at the age of 28, everyone at work gives her sticky notes with errands and chores for her to do. As to not make anyone unhappy in hopes that someone anyone would befriend her and remember her birthday she does everything they ask (hence the “sticky note girl” nick name)..

Someone eventually shows interest in her she doesn’t want to lose this chance, she takes him on a lovers cruise and decides to sleep with him to seal their fate as boyfriend and girlfriend. He is actually using her and ends up ditching her on the cruise. She is fairly dumb and oblivious and wants to sleep with him she goes back into the hotel room to waits for him but ends up going to the wrong room. As shes in the dark a man comes in, she believes its her boyfriend when in fact its actually Ji Cun Xi the director of a huge soap company in China. Ji Cun Xi actually believes that Chen Xin Yi is his girlfriend Anna, he had planned to propose to her that night, and have his way with her, but Anna suddenly gets taken to New York with a ballet contract and she forgets to tell Ji Cun Xi. Ji Cun Xi and Chen Xin Yi end up making passionate love only to realise afterwards neither of them are the people they thought they were. He is extremely mad that this has happened but he soon sees that Chen Xin Yi is hurting a lot not only did she loose her virginity to a stranger but her boyfriend has dumped her to be with a woman he has just met on the cruise. Ji Cun Xi helps her out that night and makes her the bell of the ball and embarrass her ex. A few weeks later Chen Xin Yi finds out that she is pregnant and as “fate” would have it Chen Xin Yi works for a Lawyer and who elses Lawyer could it be but Ji Cun Xi they are reunited and he finds out about the pregnancy. Ji Cun Xi tells her he is going to take care of her and marry her at least untill the baby is born. By that time he hopes Anna will be able to accept this baby, forgive him (Anna still doesn’t know) and replace Chen Xin Yi with Anna as the mother. His grandma is in want of a grandchild (since Anna was unwilling to have a child with him because of her career) to have the 10th heir descendant to the Soap company, and thinks Chen Xin Yi should stay always…..as time progresses Ji Cun Xi and Chen Xin Yi have grown closer but Anna has come back to be with him…

This had everything in it, it was perfect, really. Especially for this type of drama. I first started watching out of sheer boredom I thought I’d really want to stop watching it after the first 2 episodes but the story line really started to pick up. Some scenes are pretty funny. I hardly find things funny when other people think they are hilarious but I was LOLing all by myself watching this show. (really I just finished watching year one and I sat through that hardly making a sound but this show I was laughing pretty hard) I think even if this is a fairly unrealistic drama (not like any of them are) It touches on a lot of issues like abortion, one night stands, divorce, miscarriage, marriage, responsibility and true love. All exaggerated obviously. Of course this is like any other Asian drama and it has it’s really cheesy corny scenes (secretly I love it) but it was very smooth. When I watch dramas I wonder why they are making such stupid decisions and leaving and not clearing up the situations that they are in but this one it makes(mostly) sence why he or she is doing what they are doing. Its kinda hard to explain. Every episode had a purpose. They didn’t overly drag out situations, like other dramas. I guess anyone from the age of 20-40 could relate to something in this movie divorce, love, marriage, miscarriages, babies, sex it’s all in there. I suppose its for a maturer audience since he tries to have sex with her a few times and they do actually have sex. So I wouldn’t really recommend something like this to a 13-year-old but older teens and adults would defiantly like something like this.

I give this 9.5/10. It’s so good. It really is I really like it except for Ethan Ruan (Ji Cun Xi) eyebrows…lol. i know he can’t help it, some eyes brows are just un-fixable but really seriously
